On Friday, November 4, 2016, Lonneke Nouwen, Valerie Lipman and Annemarie van Woudenberg enthused (master's) students about a career in the legal profession during the Juridische Bedrijvendag in Nijmegen. The students were able to get an idea of the working day of a trainee lawyer at our firm.

At the end of the workshop, the students were presented with another case. An employee (22 years old) had been summarily dismissed because he had had some very "deep" contact with a student intern. Is that justified, yes or no? What questions would you ask your client if he called you with such a story?

The group was divided into two: and one half assisted the employee and the other half the employer. The students had to make a plan of action, which was then discussed in plenary.

After the workshop it was high time for a (Friday afternoon) drink to catch up - individually. Because of the nice reactions, the enthusiasm and the conversations we had, we expect that some letters/emails will start coming in requesting internships at our office!
