The founder of our law firm, Wil van den Broek, has received the Zilveren Waalbrugspeld for his unbridled dedication to Foundation Koprol. When Wil went to the New Year meeting of Foundation Koprol on Tuesday evening, he did not expect to find Mayor Bruls there. Bruls presented Wil with the Zilveren Waalbrugspeld for his "years of service as chairman, board member and volunteer" of the Koprol Foundation.
The municipality of Nijmegen says: 'Mr Van den Broek does not look from above, but looks for the needs of the participants and sees how he can support them, and he does this not just from the sidelines but by rolling up his sleeves. He is an inspiring example for many Nijmegen citizens. We at Poelmann van den Broek know only too well that Wil is an inspiring person. This award confirms once again how proud we can be of our founder.
The Zilveren Waalbrugspeld is a municipal award for people who have dedicated themselves in a special way to (parts of) the Nijmegen community.
The foundation organizes sports and game activities for people with disabilities. They would like to play sports but cannot (anymore) participate in the regular sports circuit. For example, the foundation organizes sports and games for people with COPD, Parkinson's or heart disease, wheelchair basketball and swimming for children with disabilities. All activities take place under expert supervision.
