I have a rather solitary job, but I sit together with the support team. Handy if you need to do some quick consultations and fun. Because of course we also share our ups and downs with each other. Silvia works 20 hours a week and her main duties consist of secretarial work for Arjan. But I do a lot more,' she laughs. 'I also support the board, I'm the point of contact for facility matters and I'm on the party committee.' Those 20 hours Silvia can schedule as she wants. 'There is no one here looking over my shoulder when and how I work. Flexible working hours are nice, because I have young children. And that freedom is also a token of trust and appreciation.'

Enough challenge here, Silvia thinks. 'My personal development comes up in our feedback meetings. But I don't have to let it depend on that. If I want to pick up something, I can discuss it directly. And the response is always enthusiastic. A healthy work-life balance also allows us to request budgets for personal wishes. A few years ago I had a personal trainer to help me get back into sports. That keeps you on your toes, Silvia believes. 'This is typical of Poelmann van den Broek. If I see something that could be improved, I get the chance to act on it. It's proactive and we both benefit. That gives me energy. And I hear the same from my colleagues. That is perhaps also the reason for the successes we achieve as an office. Within the walls, but also outside the office, there is an eye for what works. Literally and figuratively.
Of course, there is much more to tell. So feel free to contact Silvia if you have any questions. That's the best way to find out about the atmosphere of equality with us.
