In everything we do, we are keen on the effects on the environment. Whether that has to do with buying office supplies, our lunch or the way we get from a to b. You can read more about that under the topic of sustainability. We are still far from being 100% sustainable. If you have any tips for us, please let us know.
We support local business owners, for example by buying lunch from them, thus contributing to the local economy. Moreover, in this way we strengthen our ties with the community and reduce CO2 emissions at the same time. We strive for sustainability and social responsibility in our procurement processes. In doing so, we give preference to suppliers and partners who have a demonstrable focus on CSR, diversity and inclusion, and who use sustainable production and delivery methods.
Furthermore, we strive to make our purchasing practices as sustainable as possible so that we not only reduce food waste, but also minimize our carbon footprint and are responsible with the resources we use.
We promote a healthy work environment that is not only physically healthy, but also contributes to the mental health and vitality of our employees. This includes optimizing the office layout, the use of natural lighting, sit/stand desks, ergonomic office chairs, choice in various workstations, fruits and vegetables by local business owners in Nijmegen and green spaces to create a positive atmosphere. We offer our employees a BasicFit subscription. We also organize regular bootcamp sessions, running training, padel competition and lunch walks to support the physical health and vitality of our employees.
We value good health, work-life balance and sufficient opportunities for development and growth for all its employees. Every year we make a budget available for personal development, depending on everyone's personal wishes and needs. Each employee can use the budget to take a course or activity of their own choice, take up a new hobby or otherwise develop and/or enrich themselves personally.
To prevent and combat undesirable manners and behavior, we have appointed an internal and external confidential advisor. Employees who feel that their individual interests as an employee have been affected as a result of undesirable manners or behavior can call on the support of the confidential advisor. In general, the task of the confidential advisor is to assist a reporter in finding a solution about their problems with undesirable manners/ undesirable behavior at work. The confidant does this in an informal manner.
We actively share information about our mental health, diversity, equity, inclusion, vitality, local engagement and impactful business efforts. We disseminate this information through our website, social media and other relevant channels. We respect every individual and everyone should expect equal treatment. Employees can use the services of an external confidential advisor whom they can approach in situations where respect for the individual and/or equal treatment are at stake. Because we believe it is important that everyone deserves equal treatment, we have also adjusted our application procedure accordingly. Applications come in anonymously, giving everyone a fair chance.
