Difference in dues: unreasonable?

We find it unreasonable that permit application fees vary from municipality to municipality. Together with industry associations, we want to bring more uniformity to this. There are ways to reduce the high permit application fees for building plans. How? Rudi Minkhorst, partner in environment and government, explains it in 60 seconds.

Why do you pay 2.5 million for the same building plan in The Hague, 1.3 million in Rotterdam and only 4 tons in a small municipality? That feels unfair and I want to do something about it together with industry associations.

You can also influence the amount of the fees. Often the amount of the fees is determined by the construction costs. One either looks at the contract price or calculates the building costs according to NEN 2699. It is allowed to exclude license-free parts from the construction costs. In this way you can save considerably on the fees.
