Camera surveillance has often been in the news negatively lately, even though retailers put up cameras with the best of intentions. Especially now that the new Privacy Law is in effect, there are a number of things you need to comply with if you want to use camera surveillance for your organization.
For example, it must be communicated to employees, customers and visitors that there are cameras, such as with the use of signs. There must also be a legitimate interest, such as preventing theft or monitoring the security of your premises. I list the requirements for deploying camera surveillance in this #60ticks.
